Acrylic face-mounting is widely considered the gold standard for high-end photographic display. Unlike traditional framing where the art sits behind glass, our process bonds the print directly to the back of a polished acrylic sheet. This eliminates the air gap, allowing light to refract through the acrylic and into the print—creating a stunning 3D effect with colors that appear more vibrant and blacks that feel infinitely deep.
Technical Workflow: Precision Optical Bonding
- Optically Clear Face-Mounting
We utilize a specialized optically clear, pH-neutral adhesive to bond your Giclée print to the acrylic. This "face-mount" technique is technically demanding and requires a dust-free environment to ensure a flawless, bubble-free transition that enhances every detail of your high-resolution file. - Diamond-Polished Edges
Every acrylic sheet is finished with diamond-polishing technology. This process transforms the cut edges from a dull frosted look to a crystal-clear, glass-like finish. When light hits the edges, it travels through the acrylic, illuminating your artwork from within for a luminous, high-definition impact. - Rigid Composite Backing
To ensure the structural integrity of the piece, we reinforce the back with a secondary rigid substrate (such as Diabond). This multi-layer construction prevents the acrylic from bowing over time and provides a solid foundation for our professional hanging systems.

Care & Handling
Acrylic is a premium material that requires gentle care. To maintain its brilliance, use a soft, clean microfiber cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner (specifically designed for acrylic). Avoid paper towels or abrasive sponges, as they can cause fine surface scratches. When handled correctly, your acrylic mount will remain a centerpiece of your collection for decades.
Ordering Information
- Floating Effect: All acrylic mounts come with a Hidden Aluminum Sub-frame or Wooden Sub-frame, allowing the piece to "float" roughly 3/4" off the wall for a clean, frameless look.
- File Preparation: We strongly recommend high-resolution files (300 DPI) to take full advantage of the clarity and magnification provided by the acrylic.
- Turnaround: Due to the complex bonding and polishing stages, production typically takes 7-10 business days.
