The Technical Workflow: Precision Spacing & Structural Detail
We construct our shadow boxes using high-quality, solid-core wood moldings with an extended depth profile. Each frame is custom-built with internal side-walls (spacers) that match the frame’s interior, creating a clean, seamless look that draws the eye inward. This air gap is not only an aesthetic choice but also a protective one, as it prevents the surface of the print from ever touching the glass. This is critical for preventing moisture-related damage and maintaining the archival integrity of your fine art or photographic prints.
