About this product

Foamcore Mounts bond a printed sheet to a lightweight rigid board for flat indoor presentation. Compared with an unmounted print, the board improves handling and keeps the image surface supported while adding relatively little weight.

Foamcore is suited to presentations, temporary exhibitions, display boards and framed work. It is more vulnerable to dents, moisture and long-term bowing than denser substrates, so Gatorboard or styrene may be more appropriate where increased rigidity or handling resistance is required.

Foamcore, Gatorboard and styrene options provide different balances of weight, profile and durability. The substrate should be selected according to the finished size, installation method and expected handling.

Print Surface Options

Photo Matte: Epson® Enhanced Matte (250gsm), with a smooth, non-reflective surface.

Photo Satin: Epson® Premium Luster Photo (260gsm), with a fine lustre texture and controlled sheen.

Watercolour Textured: Epson® Cold Press Bright (310gsm), with a visible cold-press texture and bright-white tone.

Watercolour Smooth: Epson® Hot Press Natural (310gsm), with a smoother matte surface and natural-white tone.

Mounting and Use

Board: Prints are mounted to 3/16-inch acid-free foamcore, a lightweight rigid board intended for indoor display.

Alternative Rigid Boards: Gatorboard in 3/16-inch or 1/2-inch thickness and styrene in 0.04-inch or 0.08-inch thickness may be quoted separately. These are not selections in the standard Foamcore Mount calculator.

Mounting Method: A pressure-sensitive cold-mount process bonds the print without heat. The mounted piece is trimmed and checked individually.

Display Conditions: Foamcore is lightweight but can dent, bow or react to humidity if left unsupported. Framing or a supported indoor installation is recommended for longer display periods.

Alternative Hardware: Mounting blocks or cleats may be quoted separately when a floating wall presentation is required.

Oversized Work: Mounted boards are packed flat. Studio pickup is recommended for large sizes to reduce transit handling.

File and Production Standards

Accepted Files: PDF, JPG and PNG up to 50 MB through the product form. For files over 50 MB, email a download link to info@blitzprinthouse.com with your order number.

Resolution: Minimum 150 dpi at final print size.

Colour Profiles: Embed the Adobe RGB (1998) colour profile in the supplied file.

Borders: Include any required white border inside the supplied file and select the overall finished size.

Production Time: Typically 3–5 business days before shipping or pickup. Transit time is additional.
