Terms of service

These Terms & Service ("Terms") govern all orders placed with Blitz Print House & Letterpress ("Blitz Print House", "we", "us"). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Blitz Print House offers two categories of products:

  • Art Prints & Ready-Made Goods — limited-edition and open-edition art prints, stationery, and other in-stock items produced and offered for sale by Blitz Print House.
  • Commercial & Custom Printing — bespoke print work produced from customer-supplied artwork, including business cards, invitations, packaging, letterpress, foil, embossing, edge painting, and related finishing services.

2. FILES & ARTWORK (COMMERCIAL & CUSTOM PRINTING)

We accept print-ready PDF files only, to preserve customers' design integrity. We do not provide design services; files must be supplied as final, print-ready artwork (vector PDF, 300 DPI, CMYK, with 0.125" bleed and crop marks where applicable).

We do not review files for content, image, spelling, layout, or design errors. We do not accept responsibility for any completed orders containing customer-side design mistakes. Customers are solely responsible for proofing and approving their files before production begins.

3. COLOUR MATCHING

Our standard pricing is based on ready-to-print files and does not include colour matching. If colour accuracy is critical, a colour matching service or hard proof print is strongly recommended. Refunds or reprints will not be issued for colour variances on jobs where colour matching or hard proofing was not purchased.

4. PRODUCTION TIMES

Turnaround times begin once final print-ready files are received and full payment (or agreed deposit) is made. Standard turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed, particularly for products involving multi-step processes such as letterpress, foil, embossing, edge painting, drying, folding, binding, lamination, or trimming.

5. MANUFACTURING VARIANCES

Due to the nature of our manufacturing process, slight variances may occur and are considered industry-standard and not grounds for return:

  • Quantity: ± 10%
  • Size: ± 5%
  • Colour: subject to stock, ink batch, and substrate variation

6. RETURNS & REFUNDS

All sales — including art prints, ready-made goods, and commercial & custom printing — are final. Returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted except in cases of verified manufacturing defects, as set out in Section 7. Items marked "Final Sale" are not eligible under any circumstance. 7. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS

If you believe your order contains a manufacturing defect, the issue must be reported in writing to info@blitzprinthouse.com within 10 business days of receipt, accompanied by photos and a written description of the issue. The full order must be returned to our studio for inspection.

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • A 15% restocking fee will apply to any approved return.
  • If a defect is verified, we will, at our discretion, reprint the order using the same approved file at no additional charge, or issue a refund less the restocking fee and original shipping costs.
  • Reprints will be produced from the original approved file; design or file changes are not permitted on reprints.
  • Defect claims received after the 10-business-day window will not be accepted.

We do not issue cash refunds on custom or commercial print orders outside of verified manufacturing defects.

8. CANCELLATIONS

Orders may be cancelled in writing prior to the start of production for a full refund, less a 5% administrative fee. Once production has begun, orders cannot be cancelled and payments are non-refundable.

9. PAYMENT TERMS

Full payment or an agreed deposit is required before production begins. Accepted methods include credit card, e-transfer, and approved net-term invoicing for established accounts. All credit card refunds are subject to a 3% return surcharge to cover processing fees.

10. SHIPPING & PICKUP

Risk of loss passes to the customer once the order is handed to the courier or made available for pickup. We are not responsible for courier delays, lost shipments, or damage in transit; however, we will assist in filing claims where applicable. Free local courier delivery is offered on qualifying orders.

11. ABANDONED WORK

We are not responsible for any work left with us for more than sixty (60) days following completion notification. Such items may be recycled or disposed of at our discretion without further notice.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Customers warrant that they own or have the necessary rights to all artwork, logos, text, and images submitted for production. Blitz Print House is not liable for any infringement claims arising from customer-supplied materials.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

In no event shall Blitz Print House's total liability for any order exceed the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
