Terms and Conditions

Please note that you (the client) are responsible to fully read and understand these terms and conditions before making use of any products or services provided by Blitz Print House (we, us, our). By placing online or custom orders with us and making use of our products and services, you are agreeing to be bound by the following. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions then please do not proceed with any orders or make use of our products and services. Please note that we reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

By purchasing or registering on our online store (www.blitzprinthouse.com) you will automatically be enrolled to receive our monthly email newsletter, which provides information on promotions and new products. If at any time you should no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can select the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email.

Any and all personal information collected by Blitz Print House is used solely for our own internal administration and business processing purposes.

 

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

 

FILE SUBMISSION

Blitz Print House is not responsible for any errors in the final product that arise from miscommunication on the part of the client, or errors included in the original uploaded file, including but not limited to spelling and grammatical errors, design and colour errors, low quality or resolution in the images and graphics, and transparency issues. Please make sure you provide us with clear and accurate information and double check before submitting that all files are error-free, print-ready, PDF files in vector format with all text outlined to preserve editing, and appropriate bleeds of not less than 0.125 inch.

 

COLOUR

Please be advised that the colours you see on your monitor may not reflect the exact colours you will see in the final printed product. While Blitz Print House makes all reasonable efforts to ensure colour accuracy, small variations inherent in the printing process mean we cannot guarantee exact colour matching to your original artwork, files, or previously printed materials. If colour is a serious concern, we strongly recommend you inquire with us about a hard proof before final printing. However, the only print process that guarantees exact colour accuracy is Pantone printing, which is available by custom inquiry.

PROOFS

Blitz Print House may send warnings, recommendations, or pdf proofs to the client at our discretion or by request. It is your responsibility to properly consider and examine all such communications or proofs. We are not responsible for any errors arising from issues concerning which we have given the client prior warning, nor for any error that existed in a proof for which we received the confirmed approval of the client.

PDF proofs are provided in order to confirm the accuracy of the physical layout in a design and are not to be taken as any confirmation or guarantee for the purposes of colour.

 

TURNAROUND TIME

Our estimated turnaround times are close estimates based on prior experience, but they are not guarantees and they are representative of order processing and print production times only. Our estimates are calculated in business days and do not include shipping times.

The estimated turnaround time for your order commences after the receipt of both payment and adequate working files, any issues with your submitted files may increase the turnaround time. Unexpected technical difficulties may also increase turnaround times. Delays in turnaround time due to issues with submitted files or technical difficulties will not be grounds for order cancellation or refunds. Any compensation in such circumstances will be at our sole discretion. If you need a fast turnaround, please inquire about our Rush Printing service.

 

WEBSITE

Our website is maintained in-house and is subject to human error. Blitz Print House does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or timeliness of content related to our products and services or any other content available through our website, nor do we guarantee that usage of our website and online services will be free from viruses, service interruptions, or any other errors.

 

CUSTOM ORDERS

Custom estimates and invoices are generated internally by Blitz Print House staff and are subject to human error. We reserve the right to cancel and refund any custom order for which any error has occurred pertaining to pricing, paper stock, finishes, turnaround time, or any other specifications of the order. We do our best to provide clear and accurate information during the quoting process, but it is your responsibility to make sure you fully understand all details of any estimate or invoice before you proceed with payment.

 

REORDERS

We do our best to ensure that reorders are as close a match as possible to any previous orders, but due to inherent variations in the printing process as well as the evolving nature of the business we cannot guarantee that colour, stock, or finishing will be an exact match.

 

REPRINTS

Any complaints regarding defects in your prints must be reported to Blitz Print House within 10 business days of delivery or collection. Images and a detailed explanation of the defect must be provided by email to info@blitzprinthouse.com, after which we will investigate the issue and respond. A reprint will only be issued if the defect is the result of avoidable error introduced by Blitz Print House during the processing or production of your order.

We are not responsible for any error on account of incorrect submission of files, miscommunication on the part of the client, colour shifts and cutting variations inherent to the nature of the printing process, nor for any errors that existed in a proof for which we received confirmed approval by the client. Blitz Print House reserves the right to judge and determine the final cause of any processing or production errors according to our records and our sole discretion.

All reprints are subject to the same estimated turnaround times as standard orders with the same applicable terms and conditions. The client is responsible for all shipping costs applicable to reprinted orders.

 

DESIGN SERVICES

 

FEES 

Design service fees are nonrefundable once work has begun. While we will try to accommodate your design requests to your satisfaction, we do not offer partial refunds for cancelling the project midway.

If you are unsatisfied with the initial concepts, we will work with you to re-evaluate the direction, however please note that additional charges may apply if there is too much deviation from the original scope.

The extra revisions add-on may be refunded if they end up being unused during the design process. However, once the extra set of revisions are tapped into, no refunds will be issued for any remaining unused revisions.

 

TURNAROUND

The total length of the design project is dependent on mutual communication and the number/complexity of changes in each round of revisions. As such, while we will work as timely as possible, no absolute deadline can be guaranteed.

The turnaround for the initial concepts as suggested are approximations. We will do our best to complete it within that time frame, if additional time may be needed we will notify you of the delay.

 

COMMUNICATION

Communication will mainly be conducted through email as a means to keep a written record. While we do try to get back to your emails as soon as possible, please allow up to one business day for us to respond.

If you wish to speak with the designer by phone/in-person, please schedule an appointment. Please note that anything communicated over the phone/in-person must be confirmed in writing through email. We are not responsible for any requests/changes/ideas not documented in written form.

DESIGN PROCESS

Our designers may suggest ideas that work best in a provided context, but the decision ultimately rests on the client. We are not responsible for any issues that may arise from designs that the client has signed off and agreed to.

If design work is commissioned in conjunction with a product printed by Blitz Print House, our designers will suggest designs that will work most optimally with our productions to result in a high quality finished product. While we respect the client’s direction, we are not responsible for the client’s directions that reflect poorly on the finished product should it go against the advice of our designers.

Once the final proof has been signed off, the design job is considered complete and no further revisions will be made. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure no typos or errors are present within the final proof. We are no longer responsible for any errors after the proof has been confirmed.

FILES

We will provide a printable PDF to you at the end of the design project. These PDFs will not be editable unless an editable PDF is requested (additional charges apply).

While an editable PDF file will be provided upon request (additional charges apply), we will not release a complete design file package, including fonts, stock images, assets, etc. These assets are subject to licensing and we are unable to transfer them to third parties.

USE

We reserve the right to use any design produced by us to promote Blitz Print House, such as photos for use on our website, inclusion as part of our Sample Pack, handed to other customers to demonstrate our work, etc. unless specifically requested otherwise.

Aside from use for our own promotional purposes, we will never use your design or products bearing your design outside that context.

SHIPPING AND COLLECTION

 

SHIPPING

The client must ensure that all shipping details are correct and valid when submitting an order. Please note that PO box addresses are not valid for delivery. We are not responsible for any errors due to incorrectly provided shipping details.

We ship all orders as “No Signature Required” unless specifically advised by the client before or during the ordering process. Blitz Print House provides tracking numbers for shipped orders, but it is the client’s responsibility to track and ensure a representative is available to receive their package, if necessary. Should a package be returned to Blitz Print House undelivered, the client will be responsible to pay for additional shipping or arrange for a pick up. 

Once the order is successfully printed and picked up by the courier, our responsibility for your order is considered fulfilled. We strongly recommend that you calculate shipping time in addition to our estimated turnaround times when planning your orders. Blitz Print House is not responsible for any errors or accidents on the part or as a result of the courier service, including but not limited to delays, damage, missed deliveries, loss of items, theft, etc.

FREE SHIPPING

Free shipping is a complimentary service made possible by reduced costs and increased convenience of online order processing. Please be advised that only single orders placed through our online store with a value of at least $50.00 may qualify for free shipping. The free shipping option must be selected during the online ordering process and the customer is responsible for entering accurate shipping details. Free shipping will not be offered on repeat shipments due to receipt of inaccurate information. Certain particularly large or heavy items are exempt from free shipping.

 

SHIPPING TARIFFS / SALES TAX

All orders with a specified shipping address within Canada are subject to the Federal Goods and Service Tax, and may additionally be subject to a Provincial sales tax or Harmonized Sales Tax. Any order being delivered outside Canada may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the recipient’s country. The client is responsible to cover all additional taxes, duties, and other fees applied to each shipment.

These fees and taxes vary by shipping destination and are not determined or controlled by Blitz Print House.

 

COLLECTION

Orders are only available to be picked up from our office location at 101 Richmond St. E in Toronto. We are not responsible for damage or loss of any order that has not been collected after 30 days.

Once you have picked up your order and left our office, our responsibility for your order is considered to be fulfilled. Full responsibility for any loss or damage of the product transfers to you and Blitz Print House will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or other accident that occurs outside our premises.  

 

PRICING AND PAYMENT

 

PRICING

All our prices are calculated in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Please note that these prices are subject to change without notice.

 

COUPONS/CREDIT / PROMOTIONS

Coupon codes must be entered by the client during the ordering process and cannot be applied retroactively. Coupon codes are only redeemable via our online store and cannot be used in conjunction with any other sale or promotional item. Coupon codes and credit notes cannot be exchanged for cash or electronic currency transfers.

Our promotions can be subject to change and are always time-limited.  

 

PAYMENT

We will not begin processing any order and will not send any proofs until full payment is received. Blitz Print House is not responsible for any delay in the processing of your order due to a delay in the receipt of payment.

Unless you have specifically provided your credit card information and requested for it to be kept on file, we will never retain any payment information that you have provided to us either online or for a custom order.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS POLICY

 

ORDER CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Your order can only be cancelled during initial order processing before production has started. Due to the custom nature of the products we offer, no order may be cancelled, nor any design updated, once it has been sent to production. 

All refunded orders, including cancellations and orders placed in error, will be subject to a 3% transaction fee. Alternatively, you may opt for credit at the full value, to be issued in the form of a coupon code or credit note at our discretion.

In the event a project is cancelled and refunded after remaining inactive for more than 60 days with no response from the client, we reserve the right to deduct a 20% cancellation fee on said project. Should a project be cancelled after remaining inactive for more than 120 days, no refund will be issued and the client will be provided with a credit to the value of the cancelled order.

Blitz Print House does not offer refunds in the case of any error on the part of a courier or resulting from miscommunication on the part of the client. Neither will refunds be offered on design services in the case that the client opts not to use our provided design or opts not to print their design with us.

 

LEGAL

 

LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

Blitz Print House does not accept any liability for direct, indirect, or consequential losses or damages to the client or the client’s business, including but not limited to loss of data, profit, and direct or indirect revenue. We further do not accept any liability for such loss or damages resulting from a third party claim, delay of delivery, website performance and maintenance, or other usage of our online services.

As the client, you certify that you own or have the legal right to use all content that you submit to us as part of your order and that you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Blitz Print House, as well as its owners, employees, and agents, from any third party claim or demand, including reasonable attorney’s fees, relating to the content you have submitted, the content produced and services accessed through your account, any violation by you of these terms and conditions, and any violation by you of third party rights.

 

GENERAL

The section titles in these terms and conditions are present for the convenience of Blitz Print House and the client and have no legal or contractual significance. Blitz Print House reserves the right to apply these terms and conditions, in whole or in part, where and however we deem appropriate. We further reserve the right to provide reprints or cancellations and refunds to the client at our discretion on a case by case basis without in any way voiding or interfering with the continued application and enforcement of the terms and conditions presented here.

Should any court of competent jurisdiction declare any provision of these terms and conditions invalid or unenforceable, then it will replace the invalid or unenforceable provision with a valid, enforceable one that most closely approximates the intent of the original provision.

If our ability to perform our obligations as outlined in these terms and conditions is restricted, prevented or impeded by any reason of fire, flood, earthquake, explosion or other casualty or accident or act of God; strikes or labour disputes; inability to procure or obtain delivery of power; war or other violence; any law, order proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand or requirement of any governmental authority; or any other act or condition whatsoever beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, any telecommunication services or any other services provided by a third party, then we shall be excused from such obligation to the extent of such restriction, prevention, or impediment. Blitz Print House will take reasonable steps to avoid or remove any such interference and we shall resume our obligations as soon as we are able after such interference is removed.
